I more of less joined 7UDR in 1980 and I recall the information coming over the 10 UDR and RUC nets;

Went to school with Joseph, great lad and very good friend. Was hurt to here this news, but there's always a time in the day when I always think of what happened that morning. I left the UDR in the late 1980's but as you do we all lose contact when you leave school.

I feel now is the time to speak of this.
